I believe what the City Health Clinics should have done is vaccinate all children and elderly first. I remember when I was young we would get vaccines at school during school hours and permission slips were sent out to our parents. With the H1N1 being a big concern and children being at risk; why hasn’t the city Department of Public Health coordinated with the local school districts on providing the vaccines at the schools; starting with pre-k and work their way up to 12th grade. This would eliminate many problems such as local hospitals and doctors offices being full of children with flu like symptoms. I see this happening all over the news long lines, people being selfish and not realizing that our children should come first. For example Immunize El Paso provides the regular Flu shoots at many locations throughout the city, it may not be free to many but they have more of a plan than what Michael Hill director of Public Health Department (the Convention Center???).
